Router interlink

I have two routers that I want to link together for a small LAN party (about 6 people, each router has 4 RJ45 ports) one has 4 LAN ports and and a WAN port the other has two WAN ports (one labeled MDI-II and MDI-X) with the 4 LAN ports. I have a cable modem that I will run. I was wondering if I could connect these to make a larger network with the two routers than two smaller networks.

You can use a second Router as a dumb switch.

Here how to configure, http://www.ezlan.net/router_AP.html

Take into consideration that when you connect two devices you lose two ports (one in each) for the interconnection.

i.e. 4 ports + 4ports = 6 available ports.
