All of a sudden(I assume FirstUnion updated/changed their secure online banking scripts) my father can no longer access his online banking stuff from our computers. I've realized that the our router is that's proventing him from doing it because if I pull my DSL modem from the router, plug it into my computer, then install the WinPOET software it works just fine. The trouble is that I can't have the WinPOET software installed while I use the router so to use his banking stuff I've got to plug the modem into my computer, install the software, then when he finishes uninstall it and plug the modem back into the router. This will just not work, it's too inefficient, and I will not always be around to do it for him.
Anyone know why the router would not allow him to access certain secure sites? I even have the computer in the "DMZ" so that it bypasses the normal firewall features... The router is a Linksys 4-port... Any ideas?
