Router Interconnect Problems

I have two routers that I wired together. This configuration has worked for several months without a problem, until just recently when they decided to act up. In order to help, you will need to know a little about my network. I have two sides 192.168.2.1 and .2.2 the .2.1 is connected to my modem and to two windows boxes, and the .2.2 runs two linux servers and is connected to the other. On the server side, I am able to ping both routers, and web addresses, but on the windows side I can only ping the closest router and web addresses. I can not ping or reach the servers through the network. I have tried connecting the router directly to the other and using a short patch cable, I was able to reach all addresses, but when I tried it with that cable through the wall, same result. Clients on the linux side are able to receive dhcp services, and are registered with the router. When I ping the servers, I get request timed out, but when I ping the windows machines I get Destination Host Unreachable.

If you could offer any advice, I would appreciate it.

Let me see if I can diagram this correctly:

Modem <---> R1 (Win Servers) <---> R2 (Linux Servers)
R1 = 192.168.2.1
R2 = 192.168.2.2

What IPs do you have running on your Windows and Linux servers? Also, what ports on the R1 and R2 are you using to connect?
