router configuration saved when moving?

I have a netopia R7100 router, and a general question is

when I unplug, and bring to the new location, will the customizing go along with it? It seems I can save the data but has to be to a local FTP location.

I dont want to transfer it, and find I lost all my customized Firewall/VPN settings.

The router's configuration is saved in FLASH or EEPROM, and is retained when power is removed.
