Router choice

Hi all,

I am looking for router in my house and I have no idea what to look for. Due to the fact, we have about 5 laptops, ipad and TVs, etc. I am looking for the decent router to handle everything in the house.

What kind of router am I looking for? speed? and something to able to host all of different devices.

Are you planning to transfer files between computers or stream media? if not any router will be able to handle all the devices. If yes then look for "dual band" router. Remember, router is only as good as the wireless adapter on the other devices. Also to keep in mind is the size of the house and kind of walls. If its just 5 - 6 machines in relatively close proximity, sharing just the internet, get any sub $50 router and you will be fine.

Medialink makes a decent feature packed router thats reasonably priced. I installed at my mom's house, and the coverage is excellent.
