Router and problem with Direct Connect in AIM

I am unable to directly connect thru AIM with a friend of mine (we both have routers). I was able to play around with "special applications" in my router setup and managed to get this to work a year ago, but my router has been reset since then and we can no longer connect. I've tried opening port 5159, which I found is the port AIM uses (found this info in the AIM Help file). Still doesn't work. Are there any other ports I should open up, or anything else I could try. I'm sure several other people have had this problem. Thanks for your help.
