Router and an FTP

got a router and now i need to set me FTP i have forwarded all the ports that i need but it still isnt working

i figure i need a FTP Client that works in PASSIVE mode is this correct if so could you surgest one that does

I have an FTP server setup behind my router and it works like a charm with passive mode disabled... what kind of error msgs are you getting?

i have got it working now silly me forwarded the wrong ports :'( i feel so stupid
