I ordered some from SVCompucycle and their shipping is great

This past order they shorted me a cable, but I expect that'll be cleared up satisfactory like because of their great ratings from others.

<< I can't get the link to work either, but here is where I buy my rounded cables. They are inexpensive and the turnaround time between order and shipping is FAST. They have EXCELLENT customer service, too.

hey those guys (bestbyte) have really competitive prices! My just order from them, but before I do I have a question, at SVC they have two sections for ATA66/100 and a separate for ATA133, it was my understanding that ATA133 cables were the same 80pin design as ATA66/100 cables.. i wonder...

and that "what is "http://no vibes noise control computer/"

that's what the Open Linux link goes to... (DUH) ;)

What's the deal with Rounded IDE cables? Better performance, less IDE retransmissions, ease of use....?

Aren't the rounded cables more prone to data corruption, especially the non-standard 24" ones?

I have heard/read that the cables longer than 18" are susceptible to corruption but have not seen this personally -- not that I would have noticed it anyways. I have not heard a reasonable argument for why rounded cables would be more susceptible to corruption. If you have, please let me know because I am actually interested in this. BTW, does anyone know the impact of shielding on cables 24" and longer?
