OK, 2 quick questions about rounded IDE cables.

1) Is the guide found at this site still accurate? Or are there better ways (I doubt it, but I don't wanna blow anything up).

2) Is the added airflow worth rounding cables? I have one fan in the front and one in the rear... will I really gain THAT much more cooling power?

There have been a number of articles recently showing that unless your case is very cooling challenged, the rounded cables don't help at all.

A friend of mine replaced all of his cables with the rounded flavors, including the floppy, and saw no temperature difference whatsoever. Does look nice, tho.

I did some cable rounding before and was very satisfied with the results. But later on, I decided to just buy the commercial one since they look more professional and are more flexible. You can just buy them in here for a few bucks more of what you will spend doing it yourself. BestCables

OK, the best way to go is to buy the comercial ones, and they do not improve temps all that much, if you have adaquite cooling in the first place.

Guess you won't see significant changes in temp like I did. But it's a good way to keep things neet and tidy in there.
