Rounded cables...are they a good idea?

I am thinking about making the switch to rounded cables for my HDD's, CD-RW / CD and Floppy. I am tired of trying to twist and turn the damn flat cables to get a "clean" appearance / ease of use.

Any reports of problems using rounded cables?

*The ones i will be using are 24" long.

Thanks for the advice / input / comments in advance.

Older rounded cables had data corruption and performace problems which initially gave em a bad name, but anymore they work just as well as regular IDE cables. I'm using two rounded IDE cables and a rounded floppy cable in my case. They work just perfect, and they look neat, tidy.. and just cool. :)
