alright, im sure these questions have been answered before, but i did a light search and i didnt really find the answer i was looking for.

right now, im in the market for some round ide cables. im looking at svc.com and nexfan.com

now, what i want to know is, at svc.com, does the 100% shielded cable actually like do anything? what exactly does shielded mean. i know that it protects it from harmful waves or something, but exactly, in lamens, terms, does it just protect possible data corruption? do none shielded cables like always fail? do i REALLY need to spend the extra money on some silver foiling? also, what exactly does the groudning wire do. sure, i know it releases like the "negative" charges, but again, in lamens terms, what does it do?

next "question". when it says "UV sensitive, does that mean if i want it to light up the color it says it is supposed to light up, i HAVE to have some sort of blacklight INSIDE my case?

last "question". the "copper" round ide cable. i need some explanation on this one. how does it differ? is there any bad/good qualties of this?

addon question> any remarks about svc.com or nexfan.com ? i want to make sure they are good sellers. so far, ive heard nothing bad, and only good :)

alright, thanks all for the help. peace

When considering buying, always check Reseller Ratings :)

UV ones will need a blacklight in the case in order for them to glow.

I don't know about the shielded/copper ones though
