Hey people it's me, the newbie, with another question. I am going to get a new system soon. Antec SX1040B with all the regular items (HD,CD,CDR, etc). OK what I need to know is are round cables worth the $? I know they look nice, save space, and help cooling but are they worth it? Also what would someone with the Antec SX1040B case need for cables? And where would I go to get good ones at a good price? I looked over neweggs already and that is it so far. How many, what length, etc. This will be my first built system and any suggestions are appriciated. Thanks all :).

I have the SX1040 and use Silver rounded cables. I have the single device and dual device 18", plus the single short floppy cable. Not only are they attractive, but they improve the airflow.

Do a search for round cable and you'll find loads of previous threads about 'em.

How much do they improve air flow? Has there been temperature drops in your systems? I usually tuck the crap out of my IDE cables into empty bays. There's no way that they prohibit air flow to my video card or CPU.

I should have been more specific. They may not improve air flow all that much, but when you mess around inside your case a lot, they are great to have. Plus, they just look cool. When you have plexi window its worth it.
