roulette question

I was at turning stone couple nights ago and I was watching the roulette table and this person kept putting bets on "K" in this picture and even though a number 13-36 came up the dealer took his chips. this happened probably 5-10 times...

is there a special rule about this spot? I would think that youre betting on #'s 13-36 and getting a 1:1 instead of a 2:1 if you put it on one of the dozens.

he is betting on the 0 and 00.

when you place a bet there, youre placing your bet on 0/00?
sweet, diddnt know that.

that make no sense. a bet on the zeros is right between them. is it not?

thats what i would think...(and saw)
dunno..... need a gambler to come tell us the answer!

it started when the dealer is too lazy to place the 0 and 00 bets for someone that are sitting at the far end of the table. The dealer will tell the player to place their bets there.

As long as you dont bet on the rows (the verticals) Roulette does not matter at all cause the casino always has the same advantage. I still like it though 😉

the player was probably parlaying his/her winnings to another number. did you see the dealer actually take the chips and put it back in the dealers stack?

many times if a player has been sitting at a table for a while (and tips the dealers well) the dealers will look out for you and if you make the same bet over and over again they will start to move your chips for you. saves you time and if easier than reaching across the table.

if the "K" bet won, the player may have consistently then moved the "winnings" to another number. the dealer probably noticed this and took care of it for the player.

tipping the "boys" is a good idea. i have had blackjack dealers look me in the eyes on my losing hand, give me a slight grin and pay me as if i had won. it is also helpful in craps because if you forget to place a bet you always make, they will tell you.
