Roughly how many people/aliens/monsters/furry creatures have you killed in your computer and/or video game career?

Oh boy... does something like blowing up a Star Destroyer = 1 or = ~46,000?

I just got Dead Rising. The count is at least 450 and will probably be in the thousands when im done. All together i probably think 50k-100k, since i haven't played many videos in the past few years.

10,000,001+ easily.

Lets see, UO, EQ, Asherons Call, DAoC, WoW. Yeah easily over 10,000,001.

I should have made a bigger poll.

I probably killed 5million in Asherons Call alone.

I'm thinking my games of "Rebellion" must have astronomical death counts due to blowing up fleets of super star destroyers as well as whole planets. Probably in the trillions.

Wiki says Crew: 3,350,000 crewmen per Super Star Destroyer. That adds up quickly :p

Why am I the only one so far who said 10,000,001+? It's really not hard to imagine killing 10 million things. Imagine the average number of kills in the average shooter

Doom - Easily rack up 200 kills or more in an hour of gameplay
Starcraft - Zergling rushes, marine rushes, etc. etc., hell just playing through the campaigns w/ expansion is easily 10,000 kills
GTA(any one) - Very easy to rack up kills. You can get at least 10 kills per minute if you have a lot of ammo or a vehicle or the tank
Flash games - OMFG
Any strategy game ever made - Kills are easy to come by

After 18 years of playing video games, I'd say it's pretty easy to rack up 10,000,001+ kills. I'd be hard pressed to obtain an exact number, though.

I didnt vote in the poll.

And your forgetting the ultimate time sink of MMOGs. All those WoW losers have bound to kill 10million+ since the games been released.

I was addicted to MMOGs like a crack whore addicted to crack until WoW came along. WoW came along and I just got bored.

I would, but people already voted.

You can redo it :p (not saying you should)

Am I correct in my reasoning on a ship filled with crew means your kill number is the amount of crew that died?

Well if thats the case, I dont know how many 1000+ crew ships I killed in High Seas Trader in the mid 1990s.

its literally impossible to have killed infinity people... so 10,000,001+

Between EQ, Starcraft, Diablo 2 (Cow level + javazon), and WoW alone... jeez.

One more question... does "furry creatures" include kittens? I think you might have to raise your numbers here on ATOT if it does.

Hard to say...

Deus Ex: ~500 enemies x 30 plays = 15000 kills
Marathon Trilogy: ~1200 enemies x 10 plays = 12000 kills
Diablo: ~1000 enemies x 6 plays = 6000 kills
Diablo 2 + Expansion: ~2000 enemies x 8 plays = 16000 kills
Lands of Lore 2: ~300 enemies x 15 plays = 4500 kills
Mafia (Campaign): ~200 enemies x 10 plays = 2000 kills
Mafia (Freeride): ~20000 kills just running people over.
Starcraft: ****** man... with custom maps on the Battle.Net it has to be at least 200000.

Those are the games I played the most of, but there are tons of others as well. Warcraft II, the Mario games, Space Invaders, and such could easily be in the tens of thousands as well. I'd estimate a couple million total, give or take a million more.

I played Half Life DM, and a lot of its mods for probably 10 hours a week (or more) for five years. Yeah, yeah, I know, it's ridiculous, but I probably killed a couple 10,000s there. The one where most of the kills will come from is a cheap MMORPG, where you kill mobs to skill. Well, I spent a full summer on it. Ridiculous amounts of time. I would say I've killed 300,000+ in that game alone. I put nearly equal sleep as playing time in, during the summer :( Toooooo much.

I think I blew up Coruscant once to see what would happen.

Wiki says at least 1 trillion with one figure of 2,861,006,000,000 :p

So maybe I'll round up my total kills to 3 trillion?

I don't even know where I'd begin to try and figure out the number.

I've been gaming since since the age of 4 when my parents bought me an NES for christmas in 1985.

1 Ship 1 kill!

Unless each individual crew member can leave the ship & attack, then only one kill. Fighters that haven't deployed can count. Excape pods count. When you destroy a military base, any indivial soldier you couldn't of come in contact with before detonation doesn't count.
