rough body work estimate?

Got in an accident this morning.
The hood of my car has been pushed in/buckled about 4 inches along with the grill. can't unlatch the hood. nothing seems to be leaking, but the radiator may be bent.

Gonna go looking for estimates tomorrow. Does anyone know what this may roughly cost to repair? Or how much to get it just fixed enough to pass inspection?

Guessing $700-900.

$200 for new hood, $200 for painting hood, $200 for new grill, $200 in labor. That's assuming they're willing to bend some things back into place and barnyard engineer it. To return it to like-new, you're probably looking at twice that.

$1000 if it's a cheapo no-name maaco style bodyshop...

$2k to do it halfway right.

$3k+ to do it correctly with OEM parts

so the correct way to repair is with OEM parts? I think you can fix this the right way non-oem parts and have fit just as good. $3k is what the car is worth on a good day. I agree with your numbers but i've seen some great body work using cerfit-parts and other brands too.

Used OEM parts are an option, but sometimes it's cheaper to get new if the used parts require prep and repaint work.

A competent body shop with aftermarket parts will be fine.

Stop acting like a whiny prick bro man dude.

lol I was responding to Howard saying how everyone wouldn't know the make model and year of some busted front end picture of a guy.

You two Wonder Twins should unite and try to beat my ass one day.

"Correctly" wasn't really a good choice of words - I should've said "perfectly".

Non OE parts are fine and definitely what you'd use on that car, but it will be pretty obvious it had some front end damage.

Your fenders look ok, but this sort of thing is really tough to guesstimate. I'd recommend asking around for a decent independent shop that does decent work, almost every city has a place like this that does good work for maaco costs.

$3k or so seems about right. A lot depends on what is bent under the hood and if the radiator or ac condenser got damaged.

Wait for it..... Waaaait for it........

He's screwing your mom, your gf would sleep with him at any moment, you're just jealous of his awesome women skills... I think that pretty much covers anything good ole alky has to say

I know for a FACT that he's awesome at threatening 14 year olds.

give it a break asshats. Wrong forum for this bullshit.

Dude YOU ruined this thread with your (typical) lack-of-thought bang out a post initial comment.

Even though the OP should've put a year in the post it wasn't at all needed. Typical +1 post for you, and of course as usual it's a troll post thus screwing the entire thread. This pattern is pretty easy to identify.

But meh, the OP got his answer and we got to poke at you. I feel like we went places with this thread.

I was refering to the others that were just 'ballparking' a figure. Any post here for help should include make/model/year.

Knowing that I could have provided a pretty close estimate. It was not me that derailed the thread at all.

so please go get bent over one for these dudes hoods and take it like you were born too.

If anyone posts for advice they should include MAKE/MODEL/YEAR. That is hardly an unreasonable nor trolling request.

So either you didn't know what car that is, in which case you aren't qualified to estimate the price, or you did know what car it is, and you're just being a dickface. Seems to be your MO.
