Geez, where I work, if a customer is supposed to be in for repairs at 8am, they're pissed off if the come in after noon and we tell them it's too late.

If what the doctor said is true, it sounds to me like the guy pressured for an appointment at the last minute and was then unhappy that the doctor didn't rearrange his schedule around him. Seems like he could've gotten it done by someone else...

What it sounds like to me too. I suppose he could've told the patient to come at the end of the day, but who know what his schedule was like.

I waited 3 and a half hours for a well-child checkup at the pediatrician once.. pair of 'em, actually.. 2 year and 5 year, respecitively.. appointments for which were made 4 months prior. 12:30 appointments, 2yo typically napped from 1-4.. grandparents arriving at 3.. we got out of there about 4:45. was a learning experience! didn't occur to me it coulda been an income-producing one.
