OK OK, so maybe it's not entirely fair considering that the M5 costs $27k more than the Corvette, but I still got a good laugh out of it

Poor Vette getting hammered from behind by a 4-door, 4024lb 5 seater from Hans and Frans

The M5 STOMPED the Vette in EVERY straightline test (0-30 through 0-90, 1/4 mile, standing mile, 0-100-0, 60-0 braking, 100-0 braking, and EVEN the slalom!!!:Q).

It'd be so funny for a Vette driver to think that he could go up against the M5 at the stoplight. He'd get his ass smacked into next week Porsche 911?? Don't even think about!! You are all OWNED!!!

You just don't screw with that German 5.0 liter 394HP (367 lb/ft torque) engine. It's a shame that the Vette needs 5.7 to make less . Hell, the German engine even has more bottom-end torque than the Vette...SAY IT AIN'T SO!!!!! LOL

Yep, that's the stock M5 going up against the newly pumped Vette with 350HP and 375 lb/ft of torque. It brings a tear to my eye everytime I nearly fell of my chair as I was reading the article.

Nope, 6-speed manual only...the way it should be. Porsche should be ashamed of themselves for putting a 5-speed auto in the 996 Turbo. And don't even get me started on their new SUV. Damn sellouts!!:|
