So I calmly protested that the sales ad AND sign said 2 for $5. This held up the entire line, so I felt like a major a$$hole 😉 quibbling over barely over $1.00 just for OJ. Well she came back and shocked us, apologized, said I was right, and since it was a pricing ERROR we got 1 of the OJ's for FREE and the other was $2.50.

For tax purposes, RossMAN is actually located just outside of the U.S.'s coastal waters.

Given the average intelligence of the checkout kiddies at the local stores, I've gotten used to watching the register as they scan. I swear the store is violating child labour policy; some of the kids working there look like they're 12. 😕

markets are really good at finding loop holes for underaged workers.

Step five is to avoid credit cards ? and their costly interest payments. The couple has never used a credit card in 22 years of marriage.

I think rossman would have CC's 😉
wouldn't they benefit from having credit cards that offer rewards or cash back if they don't carry a balance/have an annual fee...

from the article:

One third goes into a 'fun' account, for vacations, and one third for our family goes to charity, but for other families can go to mutual funds or other kinds of savings."

Hey, they're not all stupid. I worked as a cashier, and after a certain amount of time doing a mindless, repetitive job, your brain just begins to shut down until only your brain stem and 50 other neurons are active.
