Anyone have any experience with the Thor V2? NE has a decent deal for the Case and a 750 Rosewill PSU for a very good price. Honestly i was trying to move away from the mesh grills and stuff. I really want the NZXT 810 but it is crazy expensive. and plus i would have to downgrade my PSU.

Any details? Also does it have filters for the front and side fan?

Thanks

Rosewill makes solid cases. Never used the Thor but it look nice. Newegg has a video on it on youtube. Another one you might like is the R5. Also a video on youtube from newegg. Also newegg has a 15% off on most rosewill cases right now. Just ordered an R5 for myself for $67 :)

Thor V2 is an excellent case for the price, pretty much the best airflow+noise to cost ratio in the whole newegg case selection. It's also pretty solidly built and functional. Check out the anandtech review.

However, I'd get the case and PSU separately, there better options than Rosewill when it comes to PSUs. What sort of hardware are you putting in?

I picked up the 3570K UD3H combo from MC. Also got a 128 GB SSD and a couple HDDs, Bluray and a CD-R. Gonna pick up a GPU later after i see what launches next. The actually NE combo seems like a very good price for the hardware you get. The PSU is far then what i need.

I own the thoroughly v2 since last fall. Was about 100 shipped on sale. I think its a nicely designed case. There is a fan filter on the bottom psu area but no filters otherwise.

The case isn't too loud and seems to keep everything cool. There is a tiny button on front grill area to turn off led on front stock fan. The area with the usb and headsets have 2 red led strips when its on as well as the thor logo lights up red.

It also comes with a built in fan controller which was definitely a nice touch. I think each knob controls 2 or 3 fans.

Installation was easy with plenty of space on back panel to tuck away cables.

I definitely would buy it again for a new build. Im kinda cheap so I prob wouldn't buy it at 150, but definitely on sale.

A 750W PSU isn't a bad idea when you've already got a SLI compatible mobo and when considering a case with very good cooling. Rosewill Hives aren't bad, but not super good either, I suppose whether it's a good deal depends on how much the combo costs. Can you link?
