Rosewill Stallion Series - complete junk or passable?

Hi guys,

I helped someone to upgrade the power supply in their computer a while back so they could add a beefier graphics card and do some gaming. This is what they were using before: http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16817182074.

Their newer Corsair 620HX is running great, and they gave me the old power supply as part of their way of saying thanks.

Is this thing safe enough to run in a basic system (single or dual core processor, one HDD, low power or onboard graphics, etc.) or should it be avoided at all costs? Again, the computer wouldn't be used for anything major, but I don't want to put other hardware at risk unnecessarily.

My friend has a 450 watt Roswewill Stallion that powers an Athlon X2 7750 and an ATI 4830 and he's had no problems. Another friend is running an Athlon II X2 245 with an ATI 4200 IGP just fine.

Thanks for the info. Hmm, the only other thing I have sitting in the closet is a 350w Silverstone Strider series. Any word on those?
