Any opinions on this psu? It is apparently made by this company. If this psu is not of good quality could someone please suggest one that will run E6600 w/ heavy o/c on air and dual 8800gt cards?
Voltage regulation is not all that hot, and for $170 you can do a lot better. In case you weren't aware the RX850-D-B is the same psu but with dual 80mm fans for $50 less. If I was going to budget $130-$170 for a psu I would consider the following:
Keep in mind that a high quality 500-550W psu would power your system since your (o/c'ed) cpu and gpu's should consume <350W under a full torture load. That figure also doesn't account for the other components in your system. Once you load up a psu the fan(s) could be come noisy and you introduce more heat into the case.
Thanks for the link to the review. Question. Since this psu is not recommended for 5v heavy systems would a p5n-3 in sli(2x8800gt) w/ E6600 be considered a 5v heavy system or it that generally an AMD setup? This thing is on promo at the egg for 109usd.
