I have the cheaper $99 4-bay Rosewill. It works good, but it's nothing more than a large eSATA hard drive enclosure based on the same 3726/3132 Silicon Image port multiplier chips.. For $150 or a bit more, you should be thinking about NAS. The $99 one is probalby worth $50.. but there seems to be a premium on this 'type of items... 'RAID' sells

I've been thinking something like this would be great as a large storage container for my file server, holding 1080p movies and such. It would be a pain if it crashed, but I can always re-download movies.

Pretty nice. Now if only they could build something like this into a 2u short depth rack... Gotta be one out there somewhere.
