I've built several systems in the variant of that case that has spring-loaded flaps over the 5.25" bays. This version is more desirable IMO because you won't have breakable flaps to worry about. The front 120mm fan blows right through the drive cage, so you can fill it to capacity without your HDDs cooking eachother.

If it had front USB 3.0 it would be even hotter, but for $25 shipped, that's a good buy.

Thanks for the feedback on the case I ordered one just before posting it.

I noticed its one a few cases that didnt skimp on the drive bays and uses actual 120mm fans instead of 80mm ones. 120mm ones means I should be able to achieve near silence while pumping a lot of air through it. I plan on it being my media server.

4 Hard Drives and one DVD with room for a little more - possible blu-ray drive in its future?

I plan on having it play some decent games as well and use an X-Box 360 controller since it does wireless good.

This is a nice case. I've gotten them as spares for cheap builds (as well as the ones with spring loaded ODD flaps). Heck, once you put in a 120mm front fan, it will have sufficient cooling to make this a decent gaming rig, albeit one with smaller graphics cards since the drive bays get in the way.

These are ok budget cases. That's all I would use them for, cheap builds for friends/family. They are smaller than a standard mid-tower ATX.

I bought this case about a year ago when I built my AMD setup. For the price it's a really nice case but like Larry mentioned it's very budget oriented.
I want to mention for anyone that might buy it. This case has raised mounting points across the back panel that take the place of traditional standoffs.

We use this case at my work and have built about 3 dozen pc's with them. Excellent cases for the money and love the 120MM fan in the rear. Lot's of room inside.

I got one of these "In Shin" cases more than two years ago ($19.99 shipped) and would recommend it. It is unique for MicroATX having three 5.25" external bays, let alone the 120mm fan. I use all removable drive bays/backplanes (with horizontal PSU cooling) so internal sizing is virtually irrelevent. An HD6850 (9.5") fits without modification but the lower supports could easily be trimmed to fit long cards. Heck, I even like the appearance. My only lament at this time would be the lack of USB3 ports.

Kind of tempting as I was thinking about another cheap build in the future. I'm sure newegg knows that selling cases like this for cheap will lead to the buyers needing some hardware to fill the empty case!

I buy one of these, next thing I know I'm furiously searching m-atx boards for the next platform for my budget htpc box.

I think having gigabit ethernet will solve my sneakernet USB 2.0 issue but If i need to do usb 3.0 Ill find a way to get the rear port through a USB extension cable or get a 3.5" drive bay that adds memory slots as well. Sure do agree a USB 3.0 slot on the front would be the killer move on this case.
