*Lowest prices found on a quick search.
** AM2 version available at lower prices.
The actual socket and version of the CPU may be different on the specific system (I took a WAG). ;)

To enter your system, please provide a link. Several TeAm members have their computers (hosts) "HIDDEN" so to have them listed we'll need you to provide a link. (Hey Sid! ;) ;) ;) ) :D

I'll update this post from time to time. Post your system's RAC and LINK to this thread or send me a PM.

:)

Looks like Pokey will be down the line a ways.

RAC: 581 - Pokey (AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+)

Thanks, Smoke
I like the chance to compare to other hotrods.
Computers 2 and 3 have some strange benchmarks. How can they be so high and not be miles ahead of the rest?

Thanks for the info.

Say, what do you really have that 6600 clocked to BadThad? Personally, my motherboard isn't very overclockable. I'm clocked at 2567. You must have quite a little clock on your rig.

You too Dulanic. You must have those 6400s wound up pretty good. Bravo! to you both!

'Only' 2.4GHz? ;)

It's reporting the stock clock speed, not the actual speed. My C2D is at 3005Mhz (334 fsb), a pretty mild OC for a C2D. The amazing part is the CPU is actually undervolted @ 1.320V (default is 1.325v). I know this CPU has a lot more in it, but it's my primary rig used for gaming and everything so I'm not pushing it any higher for now. Besides, I'm just using the stock cooler. You can see the full system specs the rigs link in my sig.

3.20v!?:Q ,sure you haven't got an old Pentium their? ;) heh (I see you meant 1.32 from your sig).

3GHz is a nice amount of power for a C2D :) ,so when you getting an uprated HSF to see how far it'll really go?
Like you said ,C2D are awesome chips:cool:

These stats have to be done manually so I think I'll initially try to stick to a weekly report. (Sort of reminds me of the things I use to work up for Seti-Classic.) ;)

I've decided to limit the list to the Top 25 for now ... might enlarge it later. Your machine above will start showing up when it makes the Top 25 which should be when your system gets closer to having a full 30 day history. This list will change (sometimes dramatically) because it is not just a ranking of fast computers but of fast computers that are running Rosetta 24/7. A day or two of down time really hurts a system's RAC. You can bet the systems in the Top 25 have not had very much lost production.

I've worked up even more stats on various worksheets. One is a calculation of Retail Box Price / (RAC * 100) which shows which CPU gives you the most bang for the buck. I bet you'll never guess who the winner of that ranking may be. :p :D

I'd guess it's not my FX-60s, even if you'd captured my numbers in early December when they were 832 and 768.

I'm on that list and run my 1.86ghz @ 3.150ghz for those wondering. (default voltages) I can get it to 3.5ghz but my goal is default voltages.

Just upgraded to Vista Final, not sure if that will change anything or not, doubt it.

This spring im upgrading to Quadcore, each CPU will run at 3ghz+ 24/7 :D Should be interesting

Sounds good Smoke. Even once a month would be cool, it's always fun to see stats and those are interesting.

I'm usually losing 2-3 hours per day because I shut off Boinc when I'm gaming. Wonder how much I'm losing there? Someday I'll get around to actually overclocking this beast. I'd like to see what it could do at 3.6GHz. Once again, I must thank AMD! Without them, I don't believe that Intel would be where they're at today with CPU's. :)

How is RAC calculated? I just put a quad-core rig online for TA RAH today.

Pentagon officials told NBC News that the munitions are the same kind of ordnance the U.S. military has been gathering in Iraq for the past several years, and "not the WMD we were looking for when we went in this time."

"We were able to determine that [the missile] is, in fact, degraded and ... is consistent with what we would expect from finding a munition that was dated back to pre-Gulf War," an intelligence official told NBC. "However, even in the degraded state, our assessment is that they could pose an up-to-lethal hazard if used in attacks against coalition forces."

In other words, the only people who could have been harmed by these weapons were people we sent to Iraq.

BadThad and Crazee, this topic shift is better suited for the Politics and Other BS Forum.
