Rosetta@home: Race to the million against Planet 3D Now!

Hi there,

Looks like we have some great teams here.

Sounds like every team thinks it is the greatest.

Anyone interested in a race?

Like:

First one to the million

Greetings from the Planet 3D Now! Team

Hmmmm this race seems somewhat unfair:

Team Anadtech:38,492,733 credits now, RAC (as above): 81,469; has to produce 507,000 credits to reach the next million = 6.3 days.
Planet3D Now: 2,343,107 credits now, RAC of 8,265; has to produce 656,800 credits to reach the next million = 79 days.

Either they have a plan, or there is something wrong - looking at the wrong team?

Indiana74, please comment on those numbers - we really love races, but there should be some chance for a win or loss for us! :Q

Plan? There is no plan.

When you look at this QMC compare
then you can see what the Planet can do.

What did i mean with:

Race to the million!

We start crunching on day x at a specified time and we notify the credits at the beginning.

The team who reaches first the Million has won the race!

The QMC@Home - numbers are impressive. Well done!
Well, if you think that you can increase your production in Rosetta@Home by a factor of 10 or so, that would be fun - and good for the science.
As it is now Team Anandtech would produce a million credits in approximately 12 - 13 days (assuming an RAC of 81 000) and Planet3D would need some 100 - 120 days, so Planet3D needs some major boost.
Also considering that Team Anadtech loves races, there is a good chance that we could produce some 100-125K credits per day ...

I am in. I could also - if Team Anandtech agrees, be the coordiantor from TA's side of the race.

I could produce a maximum of around 2000 credits/day, maybe even more like 2500 if I add all my computers here.

I'm definitely in. I can put at least 4 more machines online, bump my output to say...4.5k per day.
