  • We had a new best day yesterday, crossing the magic 50k barrier! 52,260 creds! :Q
  • IMPORTANT: There is a problem with some/ a lot of WUs ranging from batch 203 to batch 209. You WUs should look like this: "1hz6A_topology_sample_207_7644_1" or "1ogw__topology_sample_206_14401_0". These are one from batch 207 and one from batch 206. Some of these Wus will error out after something like 30 to 60 secs. If you happen to have some of these, don't worry. They won't crash or hang neither BOINC nor Rosetta. They're just bad WUs. In short, it's a known problem and you'll just have to let them error out. The devs already have a workaround but there are still quiete a few WUs out there with that problem. There's no need to abort any WUs.

I had one of these during the night and discovered it in the AM. One thing it did on my system was to start a second instance of Boinc Manager. I shut down both, restarted the machine and it auto started the manager and then the machine cleared the bad one and continued crunching the current one. It would not clear out itself otherwise.

It Ok you can be R2D2. I came up with an answer and edited it into the earlier post

 
Well I don't know what they screwed up but all of my machines are running out of work and refusing to download new work because they have went through so many bad work units that they are over their quota and can't get anymore work. plus I have seen at least two of the default work units they say to abort and they refuse to abort and remain in the q.

Yeah, the prob is, the more bad WUs you send back the lower you qutoa gets. The system works fine for Wus that error out due to an mistake on you end of the road (like a bad OC) but it's not made for a error on their side of the road.

But the devs will set up a testing server after Christmas to avoid problems like we had in the last days. They'll only release tested WUs then as far as I understand the official forums.

Just hold tight folks, the probs are known and they're working on them.

I have seen some strange stuff going on , I have left it alone. I only hit transfer and update when the list is gooffy. Welcome to my old teamates . Hey MASTERTECH nice to see you . We are going to have some fun with this project I think . Where is Andy ? Need to check in buddy. RA dropped TE in the sarlacc pit today, cool ! Live long and prosper dudes, it is not that bad . Just warming it for the rebels. Nice guys. Hope the project has enough work for Mondo . Stick with it! Remember D2OL. Persistance pays off !
