Congrats to all our milestone makers, Reaper, Sid, mk and Boz! Keep it coming guys!

We're leading US-D by 13,000 (+ 3,000 points) points now and the distance to BOINC Synergy is down to 19.3 days (- 0.5 days). Looks like B-S doesn't like the idea of us overtaking them.

There still appear to be some problems with people not getting work all the time, but it's only some who are affected. I only have the prob on one of my machines for example. So if you get a "no work from project," just hit "update" once in a while and you should get some new WUs. Besides that, a cache size of 3 days helps as well.

It seems my previous estimates on PPD for myself were vastly mistaken. I was only getting like 80 PPD running one WU at a time because one WU had borked on me. I've gotten 250 points so far today, which is almost twice what I thought I'd be getting.

Added my daughter's PC in today as well. So that makes all three at home that are 50/50 with Rosetta and SETI. As SETI is sending out WUs again, my R@H work will slow down, but there will be some every day.

As it looks now I have a very hard choice: either I accept rise4310 proposal (that we race for the third place; hmm sorry for the second ...) or that I take away some comps from the TAS-race @ F@H. If I do that, then the very equal race will not be so equal any more. OTOH: My Mac is since the last 36 hours online, but it is so slow! That due to the load I put on the memory system since I keep all the results in memory (do not write the temporary files since the writing of these temporary files makes the application crash ...). Hard Question - and easy at the same time.

Decision: I will stick to the TeAm-effort; TAS needs the WUs more than I do. I will not retire from this race - no way. Miracles do happen, and I'll tweek the Mac more and more. But the result (Petrus being 1st, 2nd or 3rd) is not so important. And I'll be back!

Just wait and see ... some day - in the future - not so far away - Petrus' RAC will rise above 1000 and then above ...

I have an advantage because I had to take some machines off of F@H (had to shutdown a proxy that the machines used). So my production for Rosetta went up. 🙂
