Just upped my production a bit. Literally "found" a Siemens medical workstation sitting under a desk not being used. Turns out its a Dual XEON 2.2 GHz w/ HT , 2 gigs of RDRAM and a 65 GB SCSI 320 drive :) :) :). Loaded up XP Pro and stuck it in one of the server rooms to crunch away!

It's a typical story in medical imaging. A machine was needed to access backups from an old MRI machine that had been retired, and apparently Siemens had provided us with over-the-top hardware (and probably otp $$$) for the job. A while ago it stopped being used but continued to sit under this desk.

It was from before my time in the co and I figured it was some old pos cause it was running NT4 embedded workstation. I grabbed it to include in my next pile of old workstations for the recycling company. Imagine my surprise when I popped the case.;) It's running a slightly modified Iwill board and with some finagling I was able to get XP up and running on it.
