  • Official News: The rosetta@home assimilator will be turned off from 2:30pm (May, 23th)to approximately 4pm for fileserver maintenance. Credit for results returned in that period will be granted but may be slightly delayed.
  • Official News: We have shortened the deadline for workunits from two weeks to one week, to keep up with the tight CASP7 schedule. We will increase the deadline back to two weeks at the end of the summer, after CASP7.

After I read about the CASP thing goin on, I figured out a way to get some more machines on line (some are only run at night on a 6pm to 7am schedule but it's better than not running them at all 😉 ). At least I've got production back up to where it was a few months ago.

Sid is Crunching some 3,600 points a day with the RA ( And doing it with 3 overclocked 3800 dual cores at that )
 
My production is down a bit, and will probably stay that way for a little while. I realized last week that I was within crunching distance of getting myself in the top 100 in a half dozen different projects and I thought that would be pretty cool so I put a few of my machines on partial duty running some other projects for a while. They are all still doing Rosetta, but I expect my average to drop from close to 7000 per day to around 5500-6000 per day until I get into the top 100 in all of those projects. After that I'll adjust project priorities so those other projects only get just enough work to keep me in the top 100 and everything else (except my few dedicated Malaria machines) will be back to Rosetta full time. 🙂

yeah, with Mike having a prod. drop and all, I put my machines all in the Rebel Alliance camp for May. (Jim's got a loaner proping up my own account some in the meantime... Thanks Jim :beer: )
