OhioDude is really coming up fast! I'll be glad to scoot into the right lane to wave him past in a few weeks. :)

As usual, Christian, thanks for the stats. Life's a little chaotic right now and I don't often make time to post. However, I always take a minute around this time in the evening to look for our daily Rosetta stats summary by BlackMountainCow.

Ok, please take this more as a reaction than a brag...

Anyone considering a build for a new cruncher, the 3800+ may be the one you want to consider.

I was poking around at boincsynergy and found out that my X2 is the 4th fastest in the world stats for Rosetta. I don't know if the stats are borked or if this is really the case, but it really made me feel good about the $$ and the time spent tweaking (OC'ing).

edit: OK, the stat is skewed, I think this is showing this way because of a merger I did a while back.... sorry. the other X2 of mine (Rebel Alliance) is ranked 36th with no mergers involved.

Amazing!

I noticed that the other day Sid. I thought you just had a screaming machine. I also noticed that most of the dual core machines on that list were X2 3800's. Makes me feal good for not spending a lot more money for a higher speed. These 3800's are probably the best bang for the buck of the dual cores.

I'm glad the team is being helped by all the new members :) I haven't done much so far, considering I lost almost a days worth of work on the second pc, but that is all fixed, and I will be adding a third pc shortly if it will help out.

Sean D, every work unit counts. We appreciate any effort. Starting to build that fleet I see. I think you might be addicted.

Haha yes I just might be. It's just nice to know that I can be helping something out with my spare cpu cycles, which would be wasted anyway. It is very cool to see how dedicated some of you are to these causes. I'm glad to be able to help, even if it isn't much, yet anyway :p

Glad to be sort of a fixed point in you life man! To me, the stats are about the same. I always do them right before I go to sleep so they close the day for me. :)

Yes, I'm doing fine, but thx for asking. In a about a week I'll get some new, permanent fillings for those teeth and then I'm as good as new. And once more, I'm freaking glad that Germany has a general health insurance for everybody and I don't have to pay a single cent for my teeth! :D

One way or another, you pay for it! When I lived in Quebec where they also have a government health insurance program, my income tax rate between the Canadian and Quebec governments, on $42k with a wife and three kids, was 38%... then there was the 15% sales tax on pretty much everything we bought...

Glad to hear you're doing better!

Geoff
