Apparently there's problems with certain Rosetta work and it causes a microsoft visual c++ runtime library error box to pop-up on the screen. I run Rosetta on many work PC's and users keep calling me about this error.....completely unacceptable for me.

Does any know if it's possible to stop this box from popping up?

I'm experimenting on one PC by installing Microsoft visual c++ runtime 2010 redistributable. I'll report back if that fixes the problem.

Didn't work, just had a C++ runtime error pop-up on my machine running the latest version of Boinc and C++ runtime 2010.

Wow....this forum section is dead anymore. What has happened?

Can you post the error message?

I'll grab a screenshot next time it comes up. Apparently it takes a bad WU to trigger it because I usually see a WU with a "computation error" in boinc manager. Bad WU's aside, I need to supress that blasted error box.

Dang, got the hotfix and it says my system has a later service pack that doesn't require the hotfix. Also, the included dll is old, from 2004.

I think the bottomline is that the Rosetta team needs to fix the problem with how their software/wu's are compiled.
