Roots 2002 Olympic Beret 19.95

<< Why does everybody want a hat that makes them look like Monica Lewinsky? >>

LOL. I don't think they look all that bad but I'm sure not going to shell out any money to buy one.

Just found the answer to my question.

<< Roots was established in Toronto in 1973 and has become an international lifestyle brand at the forefront of development, design and manufacture of modern athletic activewear. The company has over 200 retail stores in 6 countries and two state of the art production facilities in Toronto. Roots is proud to have developed team outfits for the American, Canadian and British Olympic Teams for the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City. >>

<< most sites that sell these say it will ship in about a month... will the roots direct site ship right away? >>

Due to high volume it may take a few minutes for the order to process. Please allow 2-5 weeks for delivery.

<< I can't believe it someone is actually selling this on Fleabay!!! Some would sell their grandmother!!!

I guess it was really bad ... as it's not there anymore.

Back on topic, interesting that all the USA apparel was designed by a Canadian company...

I was watching the news, and they were covering how "cool" Canada is this year in the olympics.. I guess last year Canada had awesome uniforms and the US's sucked. So the committee went to Roots to design the clothes.

Actually the person in charge of merchandising for US Olympic Team said that they went to all the major US apparel manufacturers, and none of them were interested. So they went to the Canadian company by default.

My Olympic fever broke like I thought it would. Wonder if anyone got stuck with a boat load of these things? There was sure a lot of money to be made on them for that short time though.
