Rooting and OS X

Hey guys, your friendly neighborhood moderator here looking for some answers.

I have an HTC Incredible laying around that I want to root and mess with. I tried revoked3 (I think that was the name) and I couldn't get it to take, and tried a couple of other things, also to no avail.

So, is it OS X that is messing things up or me? I don't mind doing this from Windows, I just want to be sure that I can't from OS X.

I used the Windows version and had no difficulty (with an Incredible) and also used the Windows version for my EVO with no difficulties.

Well, I'll try it a couple more and then will just turn to Windows, most of the instructions are written for that anyways.

I did it several months ago on Windows and unrevoked worked just fine for me.
