I spent all last night messing around with different ROMs, reading everything I could find about swappiness, cpu over and under clocking...and decided that it wasn't anywhere near worth it.

While the 7 home screens were cool and the extra (very small) tweaks were cool, I just couldn't deal with the lag. I'm not sure if I messed something up or if the mytouch just doesn't have the cpu/memory to really work well rooted, but I don't see the advantage.

Multi tap was cool but that got old after about 5 minutes.

which rom did you run? i can't imagine anyone saying cyanogen's is slower than stock
did you wipe before installing each one? also a class 6 sd card makes a huge difference if you are using apps2sd.

yea..its a 32b. I believe the 32a is the Ion or whatever.

Maybe I'll actually post over there to see if I'm doing something simple wrong.

At least you didn't brick it :D

First couple times I thought I did! Luckily I know how I am with phones and I make sure I keep insurance on it.

Apparently the part in that link where it says to ONLY have the sapping.nbh was important. I tried it one more time and got it working.

Now lets see how this one works...
