I tried a few besides the regular barks, smuckers, and a&W, and would love to try out some good new ones.

Admittedly it's the only kegged rootbeer I've ever had so there may be better ones, but it certainly beats the hell out of A&W, Barq's, Mug, and even IBC. Virgil's is creamy and you can even taste some of the individual spices like licorice and vanilla, unlike the canned types that just taste like your generic root beer flavor.

I love Barq's... too bad it makes for crappy floats though (way too much foam). Usually go for A&W or Mug if that's the case.
