Roommate Help

Anybody here had to get a roommate before? It is a lot harder than I thought.
Tried roommates.com and craigslist, I got more replies from "Africa" than legit replies. Anybody have any tips I need one June 1st

is there a bulletin board on campus (assuming you are a student)?

you can try there... or just posting notes randomly campus area

Drop an add in the local newspaper.. give the price per month.. one thing I have found do not do the half and half thing that gets ugly just set a rate for every month...

look offline.

if you're in college, try posting signs on bulletin boards. if you're out of college, try placing an ad in a local paper and talking to all your friends/family to see if they know anyone that's looking for a room.

nah I'm not a student...just recently separated and stuck with the rent(townhouse)
