room temp vs case temp

how much higher should your pc's case temps be compared to the room temp it's being used in. Can someone give me an average temp ?

10F over ambient isn't too bad for a room that's between 70F and 80F. It can be achieved with minimal flow. It really depends on where the case temp probe is located in relation to the fans, however.

If your room is 80F, you'll likely need to improve airflow throughout the case as well as on the CPU to compensate. That is, if you're overclocking.
