All you latecomers and laggards, fear not, your seat on the mighty Eagles bandwagon has been reserved. Just step over the prone, near lifeless body of a tragically embarassed Deeko and come on in!

GO EAGLES! They're looking okay so far and I think the field goal is giving us a nice start... let's hope they keep it up.

The game is already over with only a few minutes played. With the Dallas loss, the Eagles have won the division and have no need to win. Atlanta has no reason to win, either.

It really doesn't matter at this point. The Eagles were just informed that Dallas just lost, and Andy Reid has already pulled the offensive starters.

Well earned compliment from a diehard Giants fan. The love and tender respect between Eagles and Giants fans is legendary! ;):p

Three comments:

1. I wouldn't call Andy Reid a genius, his pass happy offensive mind-set has hurt the Eagles for years. But the big man runs one hell of a program, really tight and with his cap-man Banner, even visionary.

Reid's comprhensive preparation, work ethic, and thorough understanding of the game have put the Eagles in a position to contend every single year since his first here, and the vagaries of fates, agents and injuries aside, that's really all any NFL fan can expect from his (or her!) coaching staff in advance.

2. With the title in hand, we're gonna' get to see what A.J. Feeley, several years removed from his remarkable first season 5-1 fill in for Donovan, stll has.

And if they keep him in, you're all gonna see what Corell Buckhalter, four or so injuries later, has left, which is A LOT!

3. Re: Westbrook and the pro ball. Stats aside (but he DOES have 'em), Brian Westbrook is the MAN, as I think anyone who has played for or against him would say.

The trouble with picking RB candidates for the Pro Ball is that it's such a key postion on teams that there are almost always a plethora of candidates.

Each year, some worthy back is going to be sorely disappointed. Then they have only their obscene contract and near universal groupie status to fall back on. Kinda' makes you want to weep for them, doesn't it?

Cliffs: E A G L E S, Eagles!!

Matt Schobel, back up tight end, consistently showing some nice, soft hands the last few weeks!

I agree with you on every point except the one about Andy Redi being a genius. Despite being a fairly decent coach, he went a little pass-happy this season and we paid the price throughout the season.

Poster, take notice. This is what happens if you just read the Cliffs. ;)

Dallas got smoked, so we automatically win the division. It doesn't matter whether we win or lose at this point, so all the starters are pulled.

Mora Jr is guaranteeing his firing if he loses to a bunch of Philly backups with nothing to play for.

Their seed is also already determined, regardless of a win or loss. So it's really just a throw away game at this point. Surprisingly, their 3rd string is playing well :)

That Falcon team is not particularly distinguishing itself. I think Mora is a good coach and that he'll land on his feet somewhere else.

I have all the respect in the world for Michael Vick as a warrior and world class level talent, but he might just BE something of a coach killer -- although that whole team has to bear it's full share of the burden.

It will be interesting to see what Vick's career looks like in the end? Will he win a title? Will he fully evolve into a consistent, winning NFL QB? Despite his truly wondrous skillls, I say the jury is still out.
