When you shop for a tv the lighting in the stores is either dim, BRIGHT, or in a so called dark room setup.
What about real life lighting?
In my case, whatever tv I buy will be in the living room, with daylight coming in thru a 6 ft. long bay window. Afternoon sunlight streams in until 7pm or so depending on the season. Night time lighting is a single pole lamp with a 3 way bulb and a single side mounted bulb. Both are cfl's
I rarely watch tv during the day unless a football game or basketball game is on and only watch local teams. Tv is on mostly after 7pm.
How do you light your rooms when watching the tv? Is the lighting on the sides of the tv? In front or behind? Ceiling, etc?
Plasma and lcd/led tv's use matte or shiny screens. How does that work out in different situations?
Again,,, how do you light your tv viewing area??
