roofing question

So our roof is being redone. The guy fixes our house roof but leaves the garage roof undone. Shingles are off and wood is exposed. Anyways, it rained today and I guess he came with his workers to fix it while it was raining. They only put the paper on and left it.

Should I be expecting some kind of water damage? Or will it be ok? Dunno how long the roof was exposed to rain like that for - at least 3-4 hours.

TIA

What kind of rain are we talking about here?

Did it actually seep through and into the garage, or what?

I took a look in the garage - doesn't seem like water leaked through or anything. However, I would still think its bad to expose the wood to rain/water like that and then cover it up. I'm thinking long term effects here.

Looks like you have my kind of luck. If they came to work on my house and left my roof like that we'd probably have a tropical storm stall over my part of the state with record amounts of rainfall. 🙂

Yeah, it's not good, but one short wet/dry cycle shouldn't cause any significant damage, I wouldn't think. As long as it's just wood we're talking about here, I think it should be fine. As long as the roofers do a good job and it doesen't continue to get wet, it will dry out and all will be good. 😉
