i mean, its like 40 bucks for a full set of knives...which seems like a pretty good deal.

anyone ever tried these knives?
who else produces a good set of knives for that price if these are terrible?

$40 for a full set doesn't mean "Good deal", it means "Good assrapage on quality". Good knives will cost you more than $40 for a full set.

i have this set and love it, though i got it when it was $200

i need some good steak knives now...well i need some money to buy some good steak knives now

Yes, my mom is on this infomercial buying stint, and she bought the knife set. The knives are cheap, the handles are cheap plastic, and the actual sharp part of the knife is not even or clean cut - the edges are a little rough.

IN other words, they're CRAP.

a decent knife will run you about $40

you can get some low-end henkels or wustoff for $50 a set and they're better than any of those tv knives.

yeah, a ginsu may be able to cut an aluminum can, but good luck cutting through an uncooked potato. things flex too damn much.
