"Presidential candidate Ron Paul has warned that the US is now at a crisis point because the people have been so neglectful of protecting their liberties and big government has been so effective in eroding them."

The more I read from him, the more I agree. America needs a stand up guy like this, wish he got the media attention he deserves. But alas he dose not in any way serve their agenda.

After the U.S. has transformed itself into a third world country through global labor arbitrage (foreign outsourcing, work visas), mass immigration, and overpopulation, what difference will it make? You can be an impoverished third world denizen in a democracy or in a dictatorship. Either way, you're still impoverished. So what difference will it make? Maybe a benevolent dictatorship would have a chance of finding a rational way to get out of the mess we'll be in.

Poor in pocket, but rich in spirit is far better than bankrupt at heart.

It makes all the difference.

Edit: Btw we live in a Republic, not a democracy. Big difference, but a little known fact

I'd vote for Ron Paul. I'm signed up for his mailing list, but seriously, what chance does he have? None. And it sucks.

If he was given equal media time Ron would have at least a fighting chance, but when the corporate media focuses on Giuliani, Obama and Hillary 24 hours a day, his chances are pretty slim. Even if through some miracle Ron did get to the point where he was a true threat, I have a feeling that the election would be stolen anyways. Pretty sad state of affairs.

Ron paul is a narrow ideologue and i think he would make a terrible president (but after bush, anything looks good), but alt least he knows what the issues that need to be addressed are and has something resembling a solution. I tend to prefer obama or edwards though, though something tells me that Hillary, guiliani, or maybe the arizona/newmexico dudes might be better at actually administering the government.

Anyways dudes like ron paul are better off in the house/senate anyways, we seems like a policy dude and not a "trying to make a bureaucracy function well" dude.
