With Florida actually having an election versus Nevada which had caucuses, Ron Paul is polling in the 5-6 percent range.
When Paul gets significantly less than 10 percent in Florida, which has 18 million people, will the Ron Paul wackos finally shut up about how he is going to win the nomination?

it's the message, not the man; they'll follow RP till he dies; etc, etc.

ron paul hasn't had a legitimate shot since before the primaries got underway. I don't see what difference losing Florida will make.

That sentence contradicts itself.

You're right, losing Florida will make no difference.

I don't get it, everyone who supports Ron Paul are wackos? How do you know? Do you know any of them? Did you get your information from the MSM?

Who is more wacko, the person who supports a constitutional republic or the person who advocates that it is OK to send people to war when congress never declared war?

Are the extremist the one who support constitutional government or the ones who ignores the constitution and does what they want because it is popular?

I say the the wackos and extremist are the ones who do not care about the constitution and who will do anything to get what they want--such as send people to war when congress never declared war.

The war/fear mongers have really riled the armchair commandos that's for sure.

As far as the OP, since almost every poll before the caucus/primaries had Ghouliani as the choosen one, and lets not forget Thompson dashing in to save the republican conservative, which has turned into one of the funniest flops going, polls are little more than a pointless distraction for the sheep.

No, we'll continue to hear about Paul right through (and perhaps at) the convention.

I'm fine hearing Paul, but his Paulbots and spammers are annoying as hell.

I'm a Florida voter.. that voted for George W. Bush twice.

I will be voting for Ron Paul on the 29th.. along with my girlfriend.. my parents (Baby Boomers).. most of my coworkers (the others aren't voting).. all of my friends (I don't know any that do not plan to vote for Ron Paul)..

There's more Ron Paul signs in my city (Bradenton, FL) than any other candidate by far.

I was at the Republican Straw Poll in St. Petersburg the night of the CNN/Youtube debate. There were 500+ Ron Paul supporters. Mitt Romney had the 2nd most with about 25 supporters..

I think he'll do well.. He's beaten Giulliani in every state so far except for one..

You do realize 9/11 hasn't campaigned in any of the states, right?

Not exactly as though Paul was up against stiff competition.

Oh goody, another one.

Topic Title: Ron Paul is going to get wiped out in Florida.
Topic Summary: Can we finally be rid of him?

GAH.

Okay, we don't need to get rid of him. Lord knows I'm not a big RP fan, but I welcome his ideas, even though I'm not in agreement on a lot of them.

It's his crazy bots we need to get rid of 🙂

Rudy campaigned pretty heavily in Michigan, at least compared to Ron Paul. Ron Paul got 54,000 votes just by dedicated supporters via grassroots efforts. What did Rudy get?

Although I gotta admit the church goers do love the Huckster! He doesn't have do anything but say ban gay marriage and abortion and boom he gets another million supporters.

The following link should be required reading for every paulbot:

Rudy's Florida Strategy

When Rudy takes first or second in Florida, what are you guys going to say when he's no longer below RP in the only count that really matters - the delegates? Hell, he might jump into the number two spot in one single night!

That will bump RP down at the very lonely bottom - as in, last place.

ouch.

Disclaimer: I'm not a fan of Rudy's, but the ignorance most paulbots share, when it comes to Rudy's strategy, needs to be remedied.

Ron Paul beating Giulliani means more for Rudy than it does for Paul.

fighting it out for last place doesn't mean a whole lot.

Can we finally be rid of him?

I was hoping to hear the same thing about 9/11. Honestly though, RP has earned a number of delegates so far, so I suspect that we will keep hearing about him and his platform until the convention.

I'd expect/hope for Rudy, Huckabee and Thompson to drop out after Florida if they do spectacularly bad.

but maybe they'll stay in it till after Super Tuesday for the hell of it... it's like a hand of poker. if everyone checks, may as well stay in, even if you've got crap and everyone knows it 😛 but I can't imagine them having the money needed to be competitive in the major media markets on super tuesday.

Speaking to ?FOX News Sunday,? Giuliani repeated his core message ? that his role after the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks makes him uniquely positioned to take an aggressive stance against terrorism, and his role as leader of a city that is larger than many states enables him to manage economic issues.

That passage from the article cracked me up. He didn't do shit, ran around, like any number of other first responders taking charge and getting things done. Then, instead of participating in the Baker-Hamilton Commission, he spoke at high paying speaking engagements earning a buck on the greatest tragedy in American history. What a shitbag.

Ron Paul is only a man, and as such can be silenced.

But the message he speaks is immortal.

But what you've missed is that his most rabid suppoters here will only support Ron Paul's message until the day Ron Paul dies. So it is in fact not immortal, it dies with Ron Paul apparently.
