Whoever won, it was at least 2 more years of a dead-locked congress.
I would never be called a democrat and would have voted for Mittens if a gun was to my head and I didnt live in CA. However, I won't be sad that this country will not be talking about MMJ, abortion, and birth control for the next 4 years. If the Republican party wants to stay relevant, they need to distance themselves from the tea-party, the anti-gay agenda, and any other relig-nut position that is going the way of the dinosaur.
"Liberal" positions are easy to counter, but nobody is going to listen to you when you stand up and tell a woman that you know what is best for her body. Or that she has some anti-conception device if she is raped. The next time some asshole stands up and says anything as rediculous as that, they need to be sent to hang with their buddies in Iran or Saudi Arabia.
I see the the (R)s gaining ground in the mid-terms unless the economy rebounds in an amazing way. Then we can do it all again!
