They let Joe out of the basement today to counter the freight train that is Paul Ryan and he stepped on his dick enough to probably set a new record.

Besides that politically savvy chains comment, he told a crowd in Virginia that they could win North Carolina. Later, he mimicked the sign language lady.

I don't know if they put the plugs in too deep or what. One thing is certain, Obama never has to worry about Joe making him look stupid.

Obviously untrue. Even if they worked for free most all inner city poor don't have the skills or provide enough value for a potential "employer" to take the time to "enslave" them. If anything the wealthy would prefer to keep them as far away from their productive workers as possible.

Oh crazy uncle joe. The one thing he is good for is opening his mouth and making republicans look sane by comparison. He certainly delivered on this one.

edit: That comic is pretty funny. I get that image of Obama when Biden opens his mouth.

Sums up what these "plantation owners are people too" Republican corporate types are about quite succinctly. We are all slaves lucky enough to be able to grovel to our rich job creator lords.

Bless us oh lord, that the holy yellow water trickles down unto thy forehead when the job creators jump from their golden parachutes.

Amen.

I don't really see anything bad about it tbh. "Even as a joke/metaphor"? It's clearly a metaphor and not a particularly uncommon one. I came in here expecting that he said it at an NAACP convention or something similar, but in this context there is absolutely nothing weird about the statement.

Nope. Someone forgot to put gas in the outrage machine.

Manufactured outrage of the day.

Allen West invoked slavery in (IMO) even worse comments just a few weeks ago. And back then, the left was "outraged" and the right was silent.

Typical double-standards and dishonesty from both sets of partisans.

Considering he had just referenced "unchaining" Wallstreet, reversing the metaphore made perfect sense. Second, I think of prison inmates when I think of a person being in chains, though I'm sure people who want to make him look bad will make a slavery reference.

He said it in Danville Va the last capital of the south. Where there was much unrest during the civil rights movement to many, maybe mostly Black people.

If you suggest Joe was just talking about Wallstreet is just intellectually dishonest.

He wants to win. He is scaring blacks to the polls. Period end of story.

What, exactly, do you find offensive about what Biden said here?

If you have to ask you're to partisan or just not paying attention.

Look at my previous post do some math and ask Joe if there is a Indian at a 7-11 right now waiting for joe to make fun of him?

I like Joe Biden as a person. I bet his repetoire of dirty jokes could take days to listen to. He's personable and approachable. He's defintely not like that stuffshirt poser Romney by any measure.

Yes, the average black person today still has flashbacks to times of slavery and will vote D without thought upon hearing the word "chains". Black people totally didn't turn out in 2008, after all.

Getting tired of this bullshit that Biden is some bumbling idiot. We saw what a idiot looks like in Bush. Through his governance America earned a good show with towers falling on peoples heads and left to wallow in a drowned city stew. Biden told Obama get to end the god damn wars and was ignored. He was right.

Romney/Ryan is a holocaust ticket. Turns out Ryan has been beating off to Ayn Rand for decades. That in itself should disqualify him from Congress because his ideology is that depraved! This right wing fever is the greatest trojan horse we have ever seen. The implosion of conservative principles is immaculate. Can you imagine how bad the hyprocrits of the right wing will suffer if Romney wins. This walstreet villain will have them in chains in body to share with their trapped minds. Part of me wants to see it happen!

Good ole' Joe.

Romney is going to implode his campaign without anybody's help. Recent polling showing a substantial deficit to Obama's polling numbers, and I think that the more Romney talks the more people hate him.

It's hard to imagine GOP could have picked a worst contender, but then perhaps he's really the best they have to offer.

All this aside, I remember Biden in the debates four years back and he's really a likable guy and I recall does quite well. Quite the opposite, frankly, from Romney. I wouldn't count him out in debates against Ryan any time soon. He's been around the block for a long time. It's not going to be like when Cheney handed John Edwards his ass on a platter in 2004 (wasn't that painful to watch?).

The crowd was predominantly black so take it for what it's worth, which isn't a hell of a lot.

You do realize that a fair number of these rich plantation owners are dems, don't you? Dems suck up to corporate interests every bit as much as reps do. They're just more hypocritical about it.

doubt it. People like him don't see stuff like that. if they really looked they would start to question both parties. the goverment does not want that. they would rather continue the R and D fight and bash each other. its better for the corporations who run things.

I have to admit i like Biden too. But there is now way in hell i would have chosen him as a running mate. he has a tendency to say things he thinks and doing so put his foot in his mouth.

this is another wtf moment.

Thanks for your informative post. Most of us have a very difficult time even imagining the existence of the sort of drooling idiot to whom Biden looks intelligent. Now we know - assuming you're an actual person and not a Random Idiocy Generator written by some evil rich white conservative to make all other people look sane and intelligent. "The implosion of conservative principles is immaculate" certainly points to the latter . . .

One good thing about this is that we can see the racist conservatives have recognized at last just how disgusting their racism really is, desperately now seeking to project it on and apply it to the other party. The brain defective have a real talent for just such a total disconnect with reality, like skunks in fresh air claiming something stinks. "Quick you racist bastards to the poles, the democrats are trying to scare up the black people to the poles. Check their fucking IDs. Thousands of them are really citizens of Kenya.

The race card will be played even heavier this election than last time. It's all Obama has. It's the only angle he's got. There will be more of this.

Only this time The People know better and see what he really is.
