Mitt Romney says it's a compliment to be called the grandfather of Obamacare, the health care law championed by President Barack Obama and scorned by Republicans — including Romney himself'

Now and then the president says I'm the grandfather of Obamacare. I don't think he meant that as a compliment but I'll take it. This was during my primary, we thought it might not be helpful

Now I'm really confused. Obamacare is bad. Obamacare is not Romneycare. Wait now I'm proud to have created Obamacare. I will repeal all of Obamacare. I like some parts of Obamacare. Wait, now I will repeal all of Obamacre. But...but...but...but. I don't understand

HELP!!

And then his communications staff released a statement that he didn't mean what he said. Wow.

He couldn't be the grandfather. Romneycare was 75 pages. Obamacare is 2500. Different species all together.

Twit has bet 10,000,000 with a friend that he can get elected President by pretending to being insane.

Mitt Romney supports Obamacare. Why would he be against Obamacare? He was never against it, he just said he was.

He never flipflopped, he's always held the same statist positions.

That's just as bad.... and you didn't see it when you posted.

Another way of phrasing your post is that he lied about beliefs to get more votes.

This sort of reminds me of 2004 all over again. Bush was sort of weak, Iraq was already turning into a mess, and then the Dems picked KERRY of all tools to run against him, and some were actually surprised when Kerry lost. Kerry lost because he just seemed out of touch the average person and sort of lacking substantive convictions. This is like a flashback, now Obama is weak (economy, Afghanistan, troubles with Libya/Syria/Egypt/etc), but the Republicans put up fucking ROMNEY? Really? An out of touch stuffy old dude who seems completely disconnected from the average american, and utterly lacking in substance and conviction?

And then they get Paul Ryan to VP, that seemed semi-smart, but then in the convention somehow they hand him a speech chock full of bullshit (The Daily Show probably summed that debacle up the best), so that basically reduced Paul Ryan to a liability at best.

80-85% of voters are ideological and have their heels dug in for one side or another. The rest of the voters are up for grabs, and I don't think they're going to be swayed by lack of substance and blatant lies in speeches. To add to that, while the economy isn't great, it is growing, and it's far better than the utter chaos that was the 2nd half of 2008, and I think people know that.

/not an Obama supporter, but them's my 2 cents. Out of all the folks that ran, Ron Paul probably had the closest ideas to my own in terms of personal responsibility, liberty, and minding our own fucking business globally. Obama obviously doesn't line up too closely to that, and Romney? Well L o FUCKING L, no way Jose.

This. Kerry was bad, but Romney is taking it to a whole new level. Definately the least likable candidate from either party ive ever seen in my life time.

Romflop, all positions, all the time. Beat THAT Senator Kerry!

100% agreed, but he bought his way in during the 2008 election. GOP is too corrupt to say no.
