Why is he given credit for the Salt Lake City Olympic Committee showing a "surplus" of 40 million dollars? The Federal Goverment, due to Romney's lobbying, gave them 410 million dollars. That's right. Almost a half a billion dollars.
Without the Federal money the games would have lost 370 million dollars.

So why does Romney get credit for showing a surplus?

I hereby appoint you, techs, to be the new wikipedia citizen activist editor to correct the horribly partisan wikipedia information, and let the truth shine free!

Yes, Olympic games cost cities a lot of money that they don't make back. So does every other big sporting event.

why are you linking to a bid scandal that happened 4-5 years prior to Romney taking over? Apparently not only is he responsible for Bain's actions 3 years after he left, but is also responsible for bribery scandals occuring prior to his tenure at the Olympics.
