This is the engine used for Decisive battles on the History Channel=fascinating stuff to meThe relationship between game devs and TV shows is a burdgeoning one that has the potential to alter the entire dynamics of both TV and the gaming industry. This is a big deal even if Rome:Total War isn't.
I just read that it was used in that UK show in the wired article while searching for hardware specs used for decisive battles. I would like to see the show, I like arena so I'm certain I'd like it too.Originally posted by: Lonyo

It was also used on the BBC show "Time Commanders", so it may be that it's possible for others to get exposure, if they wish.
Seems like only some devs care though, or we might see more proliferation of media.

It's pretty cool but I'm not a really big RTS fan. Casual at best. I have WCIII and really like it. I just wonder if it would get tedious controlling all those units. I thought they did the sound FX really well.

It isn't just a RTS. The RTS portion is only half the game. The other half is TBS.
