I know there was an earlier post on this but...

What do you guys think about the series? I'm fascinated by how incredibly well they portrayed Roman life. On the other hand, it's really hard to watch since it's so ridiculously fictionalized. (Octavian having incest with his sister?! What a crapload of BS!)

I think its really good. I wish they hadn't killed off Vorenus's wife though, she was hot.

I think it is a fantastic show. Great writing, great acting, good action, good drama, good sets/costumes....just great.

Awesome show. Picked up the first season on DVD for $40; watching the second season in HBO-HD every week.

Yeah, I agree it's an outstanding show. I'm just a bit annoyed how they butchered up history. I don't mind them taking liberty to make the show entertaining, but the whole Octavian incest thing was pretty dumb.

Agreed, smoking hot. They should have let her live. the new chick on there is seriously hot as well though.

It was good up until the execution by Gladiator combat scene. My roommate and I looked at each other at the climax of that scene, simultaneously rolled our eyes, and said, yep, it's lost it.
