Romantic things to do in Boston?

I'm heading to Boston with my girlfriend for Labor Day weekend. Any suggestions of romantic (and otherwise) things to do/see while in Boston?

TIA

Freedom Trail.
Dinner in Little Italy.
Fenway Park.
Dinner on the water by Faneuil (sp?) Hall.

There is plenty to do there. 🙂 Great town.

im from boston as well and my gf's dad is the operating manager at the top of the hub restaurant. Great view from above and great food...pedro has been seen dining there frequently. its on the top floor of the prudential building.

Your girlfriend is so lucky! I wish my dad was the manager of TOTH... lol when I get rich enough to splurge I'm so going there for dinner. I've heard it's beautiful and the food is great. For now, I can only look out across the Charles and look at the Prudential from my dorm...

Anyway, to johnnytightlips, take a walk around the Shopping District area. It's one of the nicest and cleanest parts of Boston. When I went there I had nooo idea I was still in Boston cause it just looked so nice 😛 I'm not sure if they've started up their fall season yet, but the Langham (sp?) Hotel nearby does a "Chocolate Buffet" every Saturday around lunchtime, and it is absolutely delightful. $30 a person, but very much worth trying.

Go the statehouse, go into the hall of Representatives(if the guard will let you), stand halfway down the center aisle, turn around, look up in the balcony. Come back and tell me what you see hanging there.

I live in Baaahstahn as well.

While its not technically in Boston, per se: go to Harvard Sq. Its a pretty quick subway train ride. If your @ the Park Street station, take the red line to Cambridge and its about 3 or 4 stops to Harvard Sq. stop. Its very 'youth centric' area and is great for walking around. A lot of Harvard Hotties at this time of year.

And you might want to walk down Boylston street and the upper end of Newbury street where Virgin Mega Store is located, a lot of cool shops like Newbury Comics and other stores that are actually affordable.

Also, it might be a bit out of your way, but try Castle Island in South Boston. A great place to go and have a picnic right on the water, or get some very good munchie food at Sullivan's. And, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD: Do not go to Fanuel Hall/Quincy Market!! Its a touristy hellish black hole! A waste of your time.

Hope this helps you out Johnnytightlips.

G/L

looks like I will be going to boston for a day of fun with my wife on sunday. Dimsum for brunch in chinatown and cheesecake factory for dinner, maybe a little bit of shopping and sightseeing in between.
